A Good experience

Today I did the debate. It is the first time I debate in my life. And the most important thing is I did it in English!Even though the result is not so good , because our team lost. But for me it was a big success.Because To win or lose is not a important thing but the experience was really worth~

I was a challenger in our team.I know it is a important job but I had no choice because I didn't think I can keep speaking for 3 minutes also in front of a lot of people I don't have that confidence .So that's why I was a challenger. To be a Challenger you should ask some questions to the other team.If your questions are will good it will be very useful. But I think may be I just asked some stupid questions.(But maybe not, I hope they were not bad as I think).I was nervous, but anyway I made it.By the way Daisy had very good comport. And we also prepared a lot.

And then I want to talk about our opponents ,They are all very good at English. And they have found a lot of stuff. But one of the two girl has really strong accent so I didn't really understand much What did she say.But anyway they were good .

So I think at the least I was stand up and I was speak,no matter what I said is good or not and no matter we were win or not ,I still think I was win because I overcome myself that's enough for me I think.

There is something I want to say :" At the least I am keep trying."

Is it ethical to advertise alcohol?

Is it ethical to advertise alcohol? This is a Controversial problem now .Because everybody knows that alcohol is bad for our healthy and is an addictive product. So many people think that shouldn't have alcohol producer anymore and people should stop buying alcohol even forsake to drink alcohol .I think that's right.Especially it is very bad for people drink too much .So then advertise alcohol is encourage people to drink more ... That's not so good because this kind of behaviour is just like "you know there is a big hole in front of a blind man and you just make him go straight and then he will fall down in the hole."So do you think it is a very immorality behaviour.

But an advertisement is just a way to increase sale and also it is just a company that is making advertisement.I mean if the advertisement company can make a profit to do this they will definite do it.And even they don't consider is this ethical or not .So if you think it is really immorality you can just don't watch it and you don't like alcohol you can just don't buy it . You don't need to really care about it! That's just my opinion.

What I have learned today

Today we have two business lessons in the afternoon. We have discuss about the Japanese car company Toyota and what strategy may help it to go through the economic downturn.I think it was a very good lesson because I got a chance to speak to others of course who are not speak Chinese.Although I was very nervous but I had no choice I had to speak. And even I wasn't very good but I was try I think that is a very good point.I will be better next time I am sure.Okay concentrate on my work.I notice everyone write something about the Toyota and the strategy .So I think I should do something different .

So today I was copy all the motivation theory from Lex ,this is my first time to completely write them down .So this is a first time and also is the last time .Because I will completely remember them that way I won't need to copy them the second times. So begin ,there are :
Mcgregor: theory X and theory Y
Taylor: payment by work--tooling,training,organisation
Mayo: how thorn effect like centre of tension and work hard-- turn the light on
Vroom: expectancy theory like to see the chance of doing success work hard--making confidence
Herzberg:motivation and demotivation --motivate by praise and achievement money is demotivation

And I need to remember some vocabulary:
-Diversifying merger is merger with a completely different business
-Value analysis is to think how to make a cheaper product
-Over capacity is when there are too many products
-Capacity utilisation is equal actual output divided by potential output
-Lobby is make pressure to change
-Downturn is a recession unprofitable things
-workforce planning means need demand for labour and supply
-Rationalisation means to reduce the unprofitable things
-Reverse strategy means to do something in a totally different way than before
-J-I-T -just in time ....low stock

Those are a part of what I had learn.

Transforming Resources into Goods and Services

Today I reviewed some stuff of "Transforming Resources into Goods and Services" so I think I need remember them so for this reason I am going to write them down my blog.

INPUT is a resources that contributes to the production. It's include : Land Labour Capital Enterprise

OUTPUT is a result of the transformation of inputs . It include : Natural resources Semi-finished goods (半成品哦)Finished goods Services

Production is a process whereby inputs are transformed into outputs.
-Primary production is the extraction of resources at the first stage of production .You can say it is agriculture .
-Secondary production is the transformation of resources to produce semifinished goods. It's a industry.
-Tertiary production is provides services.
-Quaternary production is the transformation of information.

And then adding value --- Adding value is the difference in value between the selling price and the production cost.

ways to add value :
*Advertising
*Branding
*produce features
*Location
*Personal service

The benefit of adding value:
*Able to change a higher price
*Can make differentiation from the competition
*Make the product demand turn to inelastic

ok That's all... ^-^

Evaluate the two markets that I have been to this morning

This morning we were going with our business teacher Mr.Chris to city centre to feel how to learn business and to make us think the business just close us in our lives~ I think that's was a good "class" except it made me so tried.
OK the question was compare two markets just in town .That's why we went to the "Covered Market" and the "Gloucester Green Wednesday Market ."

So the Covered Market will be the first I want to talk about.I have been there several times already. But every time I went to there is just for food or drink.I have never brought something in that market.Cause I think the goods inside is quite expensive. The good side in this market is : It is a inside market and it is made up by many small shops .That's mean a market like that might make people shopping more convenience people can just find the shop which has things they want to buy and the consumer can have a good environment to shopping .For example If it rainy the costumer can still buy things they need inside the market. And also this market is clean and it is very huge.I can remember in the middle of the market has a big space also in this market you can find many little ways, may be is too many. But I think walk on those little road is very comfortable,But accidently you might getting lost. And by the way I think in that's market dose have two of my favourite things one is called Ben's cookies and the other is called moo moo's ...they a pretty delicious! I love them so much! And also there have a cake shop which is just named The cake shop the cakes in that shop is prefect just like a arts! And the location of this market is good.

Then the Gloucester Green Wednesday Market which is near the bus station and just open on Wednesday.I think this one compare with the first one it is dirtyer .And I think the price in this market is much lower but the quality also poorer. This one is like a real market . cause it's not like the first has somewhere can make people sit down and have a cup of coffee. At there you can find the British breakfast. And there was many people in here when I went to there.I think the location is very fine .because is near a station for example people who are waiting for a tube they can have a look in the market to use their time. And if they have a look They might to buy something. But I think this market just have on Wednesday just one day and which is not a holiday most people are working or studying... And it is outside and noisy and dirty.

That was what my feeling of them. At the last I want to say I was very pleasure because of the trip of this morning although it made me very tried.

10 ways of using brick

BRICK ---- It's a very normal thing around us . We can see it nearly everywhere. But you know sometimes if I need you to think about where could it be used, and used for what ? You might can't think of the ways you could use it.

So let me just mention 10 ways of all ,you know it's just for open your thoughts!

*The most normal way to use it, is to build a house or a building or a bounding wall or something...(include to build stairs and dogs or cats house)
*It can be used for people who are fighting each other,I mean it can be used as a weapon. (This one is good ha~~)
*It can be carved and processed .And then it will become some souvenir or something else what you can sell it .( I think may be this one is a good business idea because low cost the if you are good you may have good profit on it)
*We can dig a big hole then put a brick in and we fill the hole with earth. Then after that we just wait hundreds even thousands of years and the people who live in that world may find this brick and because of that it will become an antique .
*We can use it the make a bed , desk , stool or something. There is too many things can make by bricks.
*You know the dog when they are trying to bite you the best thing to is not going to run ,but it is you go to pick a brick or stone then try to throw toward to the dog then it will be scared of you then it will turn around and then run away.(that's true)
*I still remember when I was young I was play with the brick.Just like I was use a small piece of brick to rub the bigger one and then I was get a lot of power. It was really good I was enjoy in it so much so that way until now I can still remember. So what I'm mean is It is a good toy for children.
*Also it can be used as a pen ,you can draw something on the ground.
*You can use it to keep the door open
*You can make a container by using the brick.

There still are many ways dose the brick can be used... But here I just give 10 ways ... About the others you can think by youself~~

The objective of a business

Business Objectives

Objectives give the business a clearly defined target. Plans can then be made to achieve these targets. This can motivate the employees. It also enables the business to measure the progress towards to its stated aims.

The most effective business objectives meet the following criteria:

S – Specific – objectives are aimed at what the business does, e.g. a hotel might have an objective of filling 60% of its beds a night during October, an objective specific to that business.

M - Measurable – the business can put a value to the objective, e.g. €10,000 in sales in the next half year of trading.

A - Agreed by all those concerned in trying to achieve the objective.

R - Realistic – the objective should be challenging, but it should also be able to be achieved by the resources available.

T- Time specific – they have a time limit of when the objective should be achieved, e.g. by the end of the year.

The main objectives that a business might have are:

Survival – a short term objective, probably for small business just starting out, or when a new firm enters the market or at a time of crisis.

Profit maximisation – try to make the most profit possible – most like to be the aim of the owners and shareholders.

Profit satisficing – try to make enough profit to keep the owners comfortable – probably the aim of smaller businesses whose owners do not want to work longer hours.

Sales growth – where the business tries to make as many sales as possible. This may be because the managers believe that the survival of the business depends on being large. Large businesses can also benefit from economies of scale.

A business may find that some of their objectives conflict with one and other:

Growth versus profit: for example, achieving higher sales in the short term (e.g. by cutting prices) will reduce short-term profit.

Short-term versus long-term: for example, a business may decide to accept lower cash flows in the short-term whilst it invests heavily in new products or plant and equipment.

Large investors in the Stock Exchange are often accused of looking too much at short-term objectives and company performance rather than investing in a business for the long-term
